To make around 3 small jars of lip balm, you’ll need :
– 2 tablespoons of beeswax (or vegetable wax for a vegan version)
– 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
– 2 tablespoons of shea butter
– 10 drops of lavender essential oil (or another essential oil of your choice, making sure it is suitable for cosmetic use)
Optional: 1 teaspoon of honey for its moisturizing and softening properties and a few drops of vitamin E
Small lip balm jars or tubes (you can reuse empty containers)
How to make it
Preparation :
– Clean and disinfect your jars and utensils.
– Prepare all the ingredients and equipment you need.
Melt the ingredients:
In a heatproof bowl, add the beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter.
Melt everything in a bain-marie, stirring gently until the mixture is smooth
Add the essential oils:
Remove the bowl from the double boiler.
Add the drops of lavender essential oil and, if desired, the honey and 2 drops of vitamin E.
–> Mix well.
Fill the containers:
Quickly pour the still-warm mixture into small jars or lip balm tubes.

Let cool and harden at room temperature for about 1 hour.
